L-Valine
The third branched-chain amino acid, marketed for endurance and recovery. There are no meaningful trials of valine on its own, and the evidence for BCAA mixtures is itself modest.

Meta-analyses of randomised trials find BCAA supplementation lowers post-exercise muscle soreness and creatine kinase, with small pooled effects that shrink in higher-quality studies.

A systematic review of BCAAs and endurance performance found biochemical changes that did not translate into consistent improvements in clinical or performance outcomes.
