White Tea Extract
The least processed form of Camellia sinensis, marketed as the most antioxidant-rich tea. Human data are scarce, and the one controlled trial that measured oxidative stress found no effect.

A randomised crossover trial in healthy non-smokers found that a bolus of white or green tea raised plasma flavan-3-ol concentrations but did not change markers of oxidative stress. Absorbing polyphenols and improving redox status are not the same thing.

Reviews of green and white teas as health-promoting foods describe high catechin content in white tea, sometimes exceeding green tea because of minimal processing, though values vary widely with leaf grade and brewing. Content comparisons are analytical, not clinical.
- Weight and cardiometabolic effects Limited evidence
A review focused on white and green tea's anti-obesity and cardiometabolic potential found that nearly all supporting trials used green tea or isolated EGCG. White tea specifically has not been tested for weight or metabolic outcomes in humans.
