Molecular Hydrogen Tablets
Tablets that release hydrogen gas into water, sold as a selective antioxidant. Meta-analyses of small trials find inconsistent effects on oxidative stress and modest changes in blood lipids; nothing yet supports the broader health claims.

What the science says
- Exercise-induced oxidative stress Limited evidence
A systematic review and meta-analysis of trials in healthy adults found hydrogen supplementation did not consistently reduce markers of exercise-induced oxidative stress. Included studies were few, small and highly heterogeneous in dose and protocol.
- Blood lipids in metabolic disorders Limited evidence
A 2026 meta-analysis of randomized trials in adults with overweight, obesity or related metabolic disorders reported improvements in some lipid fractions with hydrogen-rich water. The pooled trials were small, short and mostly from a narrow set of research groups.
